On February 7, 2018, The Corner of the Court Project celebrated National Girls and Women in Sports Day with our women’s stories, on the social media program hashtag #NGWSD.
Included in our features were stories from Dr. Jen Welter, the first woman coach in the NFL; Erin Pellegrini, of Ross Initiative in Sports for Equality, formerly with the New York Giants; and Shelley Smith of ESPN.
The Corner of the Court Project was developed to encourage male allies to support women and gender equality, inspired by our original story of our founder’s first tennis coach.
